Unify, Vaccinate
COVID-19 Vaccine Campaign
The COVID-19 Vaccine Campaign hosted by Univ. of Oklahoma School of Public Health presented an opportunity to design for social change. My design partner, Savannah-Shaye Dismore, and I focused our campaign on Oklahoma’s young adults. Through research and conducting our own surveys, we found many young adults felt hesitant towards the vaccine. While the reasons varied, the most common were involved misinformation or lack of understanding scientific data. With this in mind, we decided to present factual evidence about the vaccine and the research behind it in a way anyone can understand. We also wanted the campaign to focus on shifting negative emotions to positive ones.
To achieve this, we developed a series of fun and bright graphics and a simple campaign identity. Unify, Vaccinate represents the need to work together and appeals to people’s sense of duty to their communities. Our solution for tackling vaccine hesitance serves to lower hesitancy in young adults, with the hope that this influential generation can impact others across the nation.
